Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect the information you give us so we can reply to you, send you what you've asked for and help with your operation. We don't sell it, we don't spam you and you can ask us to delete it.

Who we are

This policy covers Ridgeline Safety Solutions (ABN 50 702 810 697), called "Ridgeline", "we" or "us" here. It explains how we handle personal information collected through ridgelinesafetysolutions.com, by email, by phone and while working with clients.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what we need. Depending on how you deal with us, that can include:

  • Contact form: your name, work email, phone number, company, industry, fleet size, what you need help with, your message and whether it's urgent.
  • Free Toolkit: your name and work email.
  • Operational Self-Check: your answers, if you choose to send them to us for review.
  • Email, phone and meetings: whatever you tell us about yourself, your role and your operation.
  • Job applications: your CV, contact details and anything else you send us.
  • Website use: basic technical information such as your browser, device and the pages you visit.

Our website may use cookies and basic analytics so it works properly and so we can see which pages people use. We don't use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Please don't put health information or details that identify other people, like an injured worker, into our forms. If we need that kind of information for a job, we'll ask for it properly and explain how we'll handle it.

You can contact us without giving your name, but we may not be able to help much without a way to reply.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • reply to your enquiry and work out whether we can help
  • send you the Toolkit and review your Self-Check answers if you ask us to
  • scope, quote, deliver and invoice work for you
  • coordinate specialist partners when a job needs them
  • consider you for work with us if you've applied
  • run, secure and improve our website

We won't use it for anything unrelated without your consent, unless the law requires or allows it.

Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it when we need to:

  • Specialist partners. Some work, like accredited training and regulated UAV compliance, is delivered by partners we bring in. We only pass on what they need for the job you've asked for, and we'll tell you who they are.
  • Service providers. Businesses that help us run Ridgeline, such as our website host, email provider, accountant and insurer. They can only use your information to provide that service to us.
  • Legal requirements. When the law requires it, such as a court order or a request from a regulator.

Where it's stored and how we protect it

Your information is stored electronically with our website host and in our email and business systems. Some of these providers keep data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.

We limit access to the people who need it and use secure, password-protected systems. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll let you know as soon as we can and take steps to contain it.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reason we collected it, or as long as the law requires. Client and business records are kept for as long as tax and business record laws require. Enquiries that don't turn into work and job applications are deleted or de-identified once we no longer need them.

Emails from us

If you download the Toolkit or send us an enquiry, we may follow up by email about it. We won't add you to a newsletter or marketing list without asking first. Any marketing email we send will include an easy way to opt out, and you can always just tell us to stop.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email info@ridgelinesafetysolutions.com and we'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge for making a request.

If we can't do what you've asked, for example because the law requires us to keep a record, we'll explain why in writing.

Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, contact us first at info@ridgelinesafetysolutions.com. We'll look into it and respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ridgeline grows or the law changes. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
